  • Directed all marketing campaigns and manage social media outlets for PKW and its working brewery, the Labrewatory
  • Created and edited photos/video using Adobe Creative Suite, to be used for various marketing materials

Elemental Technologies – Portland, OR

  • Assisted main videographer in capturing 4K video for some of the nation’s largest corporations, including ESPN, HBO and Comcast
  • Set up and tore down cameras, audio, lighting and other equipment for shoots both in studio and in the field
  • Captured sounds on tape and additional b-roll in the field as needed

FINE Magazine – San Diego, CA
(Nov. 2014-Nov. 2015)

  • Wrote several original articles based on local San Diego businesses, published in print and online with more than 60,000 readers
  • Interviewed chefs, managers and restaurant owners and shot original photos on location
  • Conducted extensive background research and prepared questions prior to interviews

ieiMedia – Valencia, Spain
(July 2014-Aug. 2014)

  • Contributed to final travel website that has more than 3,000 page views from around the world
  • Shot and produced a four minute documentary film in an international and unfamiliar setting
  • Working with a fixer, used language and communication skills to speak with sources and contacts to gather leads and story ideas

KPBS – San Diego, CA
(Jan. 2014-May 2014)

  • Shot and produced five 30-second videos and wrote 12 broadcast scripts for the “Evening Edition” news show, which reaches more than 4,000 households nightly
  • Wrote two local news web stories, published on KPBS’ website
  • Edited footage in Final Cut Pro; wrote and edited all scripts in The Essential News Production System (ENPS)

The Daily Aztec – San Diego, CA
(Aug. 2012-May 2014)

  • Wrote more than 30 articles on a weekly basis that were published online and in print, distributed to SDSU’s alumni and 30,000 students
  • Covered a wide variety of topics, including environmental practices, local legislation and homelessness; produced weekly restaurant reviews and feature articles
  • “Ag gag” legislation article was “liked” 80 times on Facebook and shared by the Humane Society of the United States

The Daily Aztec – San Diego, CA

  • Edited an average of 25 articles per week for the campus’ daily newspaper, correcting for AP Style grammar and punctuation, content and consistency
  • Trained a team of five copy editors and kept copy desk up-to-date with new policies according to official AP Style Handbook
